There is a friend of mine — we studied together — so he accommodated me in his house until I got a job and started making money. If not for his help, it would've been very difficult. My biggest income per year was around $80,000 to $100,000 max — but back in Sudan, this is a lot of money.

There was no opening, but I got a chance to work at Etisalat. I'm not an engineer, but the way you can enter is a call center. So will I take the risk? I'll drop myself from an engineer to a call-center agent — and from there, get to where I want. It took me two and a half years. So don't give up — take it step by step.

I saw a story of one guy — he'd been working there since 1992. He reached the age of 60, and they sent him an email: you're not gonna work with us anymore. He asked just to keep his visa for six months — his kids were in school — and they rejected.

I said: I've got to build up something. I was really scared. The day I submitted my resignation, I even tried to recall the email after I sent it. I called my mom — she told me, you are really crazy, you've been dreaming about this job. But I was more scared to stay there 40 years doing the same job and not improving. So I said: let me take the risk.

I specialized in Facebook and Instagram ads — I spent around half a million dollars. Then after one year, COVID hit. I lost like 90% of my business. I worked for real estate agents on commission — I ran the campaigns. After COVID they started calling me: we bought three years ago… the handover got delayed.
I realized I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in commission. I was fooled, basically.

Since the marketing is not working anymore… I love real estate. When investors come to me — for every 10 projects, for eight or nine I say no. The easiest way to distinguish yourself and make genuine results is being honest. Honesty is extremely rare.

What makes you really successful is not your marketing, not your ads, not your image — it's your integrity, your honesty, who you are. That's what separates the successful from the unsuccessful.

Good things are around the horse. It builds self-confidence — you command an animal of 500 kg up to a ton, and it listens to you. I always recommend parents teach their children horse riding from six to eight — it builds a leadership personality.

11. Агентство vs Core — заслуженный выбор

You're sharing your commission — giving 50%, 40%, 30% to agencies, and many don't even help you with leads.
Some agencies gave me 60%, some 50%, the best gave me 70%…
For every 1 million dirhams, I give them 300,000 — for doing nothing. I'm doing all the work.

Then I got introduced to Core. They give you 100% of your commission, and they train and support you better than the agencies you give 50% to. The people there are the best agents in Dubai. To succeed you need 6 months to a year of savings — so you can focus on learning and giving value, not on neediness.

My sister lives in the UK, my brother in Sweden, my brother and sister in the US…
My mom — she lived in the UK, she lived in Sweden, and she chose to be here. Because of the lifestyle, and because she wants to be close to Mecca and Medina. In the coming one or two months, she'll be with us.
13. Совет себе — страх это ловушка

If I had one advice for my younger self: don't rush things, and don't let fear hold you back — because the biggest enemy is the fear of failure.

Priority number one: pleasing Allah. Priority number two: building a long-term legacy — so that if you verify any information from me after ten years, it is the truth.
And priority number three is making money, because this is one of my streams of income.
